Feast your eyes on some SEMA-ready Rangers
Ford has revealed a bunch of customised Rangers ahead of the SEMA show, due to open next month.
First up is Ford Performance’s offering, clad in a new black and beige wrap along with vintage photos of Henry Ford plastered along the sides. Hardware changes include Fox off-road suspension, a two-inch lift kit, and Ranger Raptor wheels. There’s also a hood-hinge light kit, a Rigid underbody rock light kit and a Rigid 30-inch SR-Series Pro lightbar mounted on the front bumper. Add to the list a winch, and a tent mounted on top of the tray for those all-nighter expeditions.
If this is close but no cigar for you, check out the Hellwig Ranger. It has a 3.5-inch Icon lift kit along with 17-inch Icon wheels and chunky Falken off-road tyres. There are also new sway bars, a Ford Performance cat-back exhaust and a rear differential cover. In case you missed it, there’s a tent on the tray too, with solar panels included to allow you to run your camping equipment with clean energy.
Mustang fans will be aware of RTR, Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s tuning company. These guys are responsible for this rather awesome looking Rambler Ranger which has, again, a tent on the back. It also has the same Fox-tuned Ford Performance off-road suspension kit as the first Ranger mentioned, RTR tech 6 wheels wrapped in 33-inch Nitto off-road rubber and underbody protection. Custom RTR fenders and plenty of lights round out the package.
Rocks and mud not your thing? Have a look at the Tjin Edition Ranger. It features air suspension that lowers the ute by eight inches at the front and nine at the rear. Performance Falken tyres paired with custom 20-inch Rotiform wheels, RTR arch flares and an RTR grille give it a muscular stance. A Ford Performance cat-back exhaust, Roush Performance intake, RPG front-mounted intercooler and a Baer big brake kit should improve the drive suitably.
